Jorinde Jankowski
Born in 1976, half Taiwanese and half German, Jankowski aborted her high school education in Taiwan to relocate overseas. From Brighton, England to Paris, London and New York, Jankowski not only earned her degrees in art and design, interpretation, translation and diplomacy, but also the nomadic life experience that makes her unique.
Jankowski graduated with an MA from King’s College, London in 2007. She was artist in residency at the School of Visual Arts, New York in 2010. Her recent exhibitions include, Art Takes Time Square, New York (2012); Artist Fair with Association of the Visual Arts in Taiwan, Taichung & Taipei (2012), Taipei & Kaohsiung (2011); T-Art in Taichung (2012); Chiayi People, Our Homebodies with New Taiwan Mural Team Project, Chiayi (2012); Animalism at Huashan Culture Park, Taipei (2011); Young Art Taipei (2010); and Nocturnes at The Ciao Gallery, Jackson, Wyoming (2009). She currently lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan.
