Tiny Lights (series)

2014, Oil on canvas,  15.5x22.5cm 4pcs

From a distance, one can see a few spots of light and colors infused throughout the whole scenery. Even though they are only tiny lights, they appear to be quiet and still. In addition to the visual landscape and the beauty of abstract form, the “viewers” of the scenery tap into their own memories in the recognition process; perhaps they have seen this landscape before, but their memories are not reliable so they stay principally in the moment of observation. These blurred spots of light pull with an unknown kind of irresistible attraction.
