Sudaporn Teja (สุดาภรณ์ เตจา; born 27 August 1986) is a Thai contemporary abstract artist. Her oeuvres are in the synthesis of abstract form and psychological content. Teja’s work is both sincere and spiritual. Even though her painting seems to follow in the footsteps of lyrical abstraction, or even abstract expressionism, Sudaporn was influenced by neither. The artist pushes aside any hints of the figurative in her work, favoring the physical act of painting. She produces these abstract works by painting, dripping or flinging color at the canvas. The painting’s structure is the result of her intuition, but also the behavior of the cokless and instinctive moment in time. The artist redefines and envisions her values towards the existing treasures in the modern world. The new artworks shown in Sublimation of Boundaries International Contemporary Art Exhibition are inspired by her surroundings and spending times in Taiwan. Teja has specially produced a series of abstract paintings for the exhibition that metaphors life philosophy with the rhythm of gravity – from highest to lowest, from sky to soil – leaving space for audiences to contemplate what is happening in life and the meaning of presences.
