Taking on artistic perspectives, TARTARE employs flowers and houseplants to interpret the poetry of nature, juxtaposing opposing elements to reshape the concept of combinations in floral creations. Substance vs. non-substance, abstract vs. concrete—the seemingly different yet cleverly coexisting relationships leave room for the viewer to produce their own interpretations. Colors, shapes, and arrangements are the beautiful transformations that time grants plants. In each flower and plant, the effects are either multiplied or reduced. One finds themselves entering a fantastic world of possibilities and imagination in which they may continue to explore.

This exhibition contains four series of works: still life, sculpture, flotation, and landscape. The still life series is composed of metal mixed media that preserve the magnificent imagery of flowers in full bloom. The sculpture series consists of on-site installation works that combine floral art with feathers, reshaping poetic symbols through a course of deconstruction. The flotation series extends the lives of dead potted plants. Twisted twigs are combined with small, light flowers filled with vitality.  Finally, the landscape series is based on flower arrangement to present even purer levels of artistic thought. After all, a pot of flowers is a type of landscape.
